Team AIBOD: Data Utilization through Collaborative Intelligence

Hisato Matsuo, CEO & President, Team AIBODHisato Matsuo, CEO & President
Rightly dubbed as the driving force behind the Fourth Industrial Revolution, data intelligence is at the core of any enterprise today and the secret blend for executives to champion their businesses. Hisato Matsuo, the CEO and President of Team AIBOD, says— “More than the industrial domain and innovativeness, how a company collaborates and utilizes internal and external information is the real key to success.” Recognizing this rising trend of Big Data and Open Data utilization, the Japanese company was founded by Kyushu University professionals with one simple vision—Data and AI for all. Hence, the name AIBOD (AI and Big Data-Open Data).

Starting with societal data analysis for public institutions, Team AIBOD now offers a next-generation platform for users to gather intelligent data insights and seamlessly collaborate or share such information with one another. The firm’s flagship solution is the AIBOD Share and Mill (ASM) platform, which offers a “collaborative place for deep data utilization among organizational teams” through four simple steps— Collect, Accumulate, Share, and Utilize. The ASM platform automatically collects useful meta-data from the customer’s database and tags it, which is then accumulated on the platform to facilitate easy information discovery by users whenever necessary. The AIBOD Share portal of the platform now assists the user to upload any information-as-required on a “Marketplace” for the universal view and share across all users (customer’s team) on the platform.

Team AIBOD offers a next-generation platform for users to gather intelligent data insights and seamlessly collaborate or share such information with one another.

This enables all the team members to utilize the uploaded information together for intelligent analysis and extracting business insights using the platform’s AIBOD Mill portal, developing an efficient, collaborative management of an organization’s total data assets. “The AIBOD Share and AIBOD Mill portals of ASM exist to fulfill our original vision. While the former facilitates uniform data view, the latter expedites AI-based utilization of the data or meta-intelligence for all users alike,” states Matsuo.

The ASM solution also runs multiple applications or APIs in extra to boost user experience and bring efficiency in digital content management for customers. The standout is the ASM QuickMill that brings complex data analysis and machine learning at home to even the most common users through a simple GUI based on graphs, distribution maps, box plots, and more. Taking a step further, the AIBOD DataScience application links with AIBOD Share, AIBOD Mill, and AIBOD QuickMill to assist users in effectively sharing their data analysis and machine learning models with all the other team members. Another highly useful application is the AIBOD DataStadt, an extension of ASM that focuses on the energy and social domains. Matsuo explains that ASM APIs not only help support a customer’s business through intuitive applications that simplify complex data operations, customers can also build their digital tools on ASM and integrate third-party applications whenever necessary.

The company’s differentiator is its workforce. Boasting of a team of Ph.D. professionals who are competent enough to deliver machine learning and AI lectures to enterprises, such qualified support elevates Team AIBOD’s value to its customers by manifolds. In one instance, Team AIBOD supported an ICT company to seamlessly manage their IoT data through the ASM software and gather relevant insights from the stored data to streamline the customer’s IoT operations further.

Having accomplished their original aim through the ASM platform for enterprises, Team AIBOD now attempts to push its vision towards the public in general and expand globally in the process. The company focuses on a three-phase strategy. Putting the solution’s current status as the first ‘core phase’, Team AIBOD will soon extend the platform’s capabilities to a second ‘colored phase’ and finally upgrade it for general public services and researchers by 2020.
