Micronet Techno: Rebuilding AI From Its Very Roots

Yosuke Tetsubayashi,CEO & President, Micronet TechnoYosuke Tetsubayashi, CEO & President
The world is a frenzy about AI and intelligent programming languages and companies around the world, providers and consumers alike, are rapidly applying this technology in every segment of their operations. However, as one pauses to ponder into where the real roots of this ground-breaking technology lie, the person is drawn towards the intricate complexities of advanced mathematics that forms the base of every software code running on artificial intelligence. To Yosuke Tetsubayashi, CEO and President of Micronet Techno, this is precisely where AI solution providers today miss the mark which ultimately results in a significant gap that firms seldom notice. “The market is filled with AI libraries and providers are using them to build AI solutions without having any idea of the basics of artificial intelligence or statistical mathematics,” he points out. The Japanese company utilizes its proficiency in mathematics to build custom AI libraries from ground-up to foster quality AI and machine learning solutions for clients in IT, insurance, healthcare, fintech, banks, manufacturing, R&D, and security organizations.

The secret to the novelty of Micronet Techno’s AI solutions is more than the company’s core competency in building customized intelligent libraries using mathematics. A few years ago, the company collaborated with Japan National University for a bioinformatics research project. The project required advanced AI and machine learning algorithms that can reduce the processing time of the vast genetic data. Micronet Techno developed its custom libraries, uniquely suited to the project’s requirements, and built the AI algorithms based on those libraries.

Micronet Techno utilizes its proficiency in high-level mathematics to build custom AI libraries from ground-up to foster quality AI and machine learning solutions

However, that only reduced the processing time from 60 to 30 days which wasn’t suitable for the project’s completion. Rooting on its deep mathematical expertise, Micronet Techno then developed a ground-breaking solution that used General Purpose Graphic Processing Units or GPGPUs to run the developed AI algorithms. Ultimately, the processing time was reduced to a mere six hours, and the grand success was even published as a manuscript.

“We pride ourselves on being one of the most innovative AI companies that use GPUs to run the intelligent algorithms, which in turn are built from our own customized AI libraries based on high-level mathematics,” remarks Tetsubayashi. This allows Micronet Techno to develop very flexible AI development systems for clients that can comfortably accommodate all future changes according to the client’s requirements. The company initiates a partnership with a customer by understanding their exact pain points and pinning down the issues that have been occurring as a result, from all hardware as well as software aspects. Micronet Techno’s team then works with the client’s development team to build a customized AI library tailor-made according to the customer’s necessities. Such a flexible library built on core mathematical principles ensures a flexible AI development system which allows the client to develop further AI algorithms whenever required in future easily.

Micronet Techno boasts of two AI institutes in Japan and the U.S. and the company collaborates with multiple research organizations, domain specialists, and individual researchers to fine-tune their offerings. For instance, Micronet Techno partnered with a research organization in a genome processing and gene sequencing project. Looking at the DNA samples, the company’s algorithms powered by high-speed GPU processing, were able to match the data with previously stored information from multiple individuals and predict future disease possibilities and hereditary illness tendencies in the sample.

As Micronet Techno focuses on developing better enterprise-grade AI applications for the sectors it currently caters to, the company envisions capturing the AI-based IoT market in future for applications such as wearable devices. With its enhanced portfolio of solutions, Micronet Techno will be opening up to the U.S. and European markets shortly.
